What we do

The Innovation Center for AI in Automation (ICAA) was formed because K–12 school systems are being asked to do more than ever while still relying on manual, fragmented processes that drain time, increase risk, and divert resources from students. District leaders know automation can help, but turning that promise into real, safe, day-to-day improvement is hard without shared standards, trusted guidance, and proven workflows.

ICAA exists to bring AI in Automation from concept to reality, practically, responsibly, and at a scale districts can afford.

We are led by a nationwide network of experienced educators and K–12 operational experts—superintendents, business officials, technology leaders, and service-center partners—who understand school operations from the inside. Our shared commitment is to help districts modernize core workflows (HR, finance, student services, communications, compliance, and more) using automation and AI without compromising privacy, security, or governance.

ICAA helps districts move faster by providing:
